'One Shall Stand' book cover

This is for the third book in the series by Clair St.Claire. The previous book I also illustrated for.

I took reference from a few effigies. I based the armour around the early 15th century in the English style. Note the lames on the Sabatons over lap forward, instead of the other way. This is an indicator of the English style. Also the fully enclosed Cuisses were made for English knights. The small Spaulders and fully enclosed high Rerebraces are of English style. Some of these attributes were also used throughout Europe, but mostly by the Allied Burgundians. Also the Aventail of the Bascinet has been covered by a silk fabric, which has been embroidered with gold patterns. This is something that was done during this period. I did take some liberties as this is a fantasy book. The tassets in particular are of an unusual style, as well as the belt and fittings. I also didn't include a girdle, as I thought it might be a little distracting. The helmet itself doesn't have a visor attache
